Whitney Museum of American Art
GOAL
Design new food & beverage and related support facilities for the new Whitney Museum – Gansevoort.
Scope includes Cellar level food & beverage storage and prep kitchen supporting Level 1 and Eighth floors restaurants, bars and special event catering throughout the Museum.
SOLUTION/STRATEGY
Plan and design food and beverage facilities for:
Studio Café on the 8th floor serving coffee pastries, seasonal salads, sandwiches and soups. Open to visitors during Museum hours. During the summer months outdoor seating is available on the terrace with view of the city, the Hudson River and the High Line.
Untitled is located on the ground floor and open to the public. Untitled is a full service restaurant open for lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner with views of the Hudson River and High Line Park.
RESULTS
Our efforts contributed to the development of a sound food & beverage program and to the construction of infrastructure and facilities that enable the food & beverage mission at the Whitney to be fully realized.
